This review is only for the winery… we stumbled onto this place while galavanting around Nonnenhorn one afternoon. So glad we did! The owner-winemaker was delightful, and after explaining it was really “siesta” time at the winery, he invited us in! Oliver has become an expert at cultivating grapes from elsewhere in Europe, as well as creating hybrid grapes from combinations of popular varietals! It works! The wines we tried were very good, unusual varietals for us, but we enjoyed them. Although we were strapped for space with what we could carry/pack coming home, we picked up a couple of bottles anyway. Cannot wait to enjoy them in a few years! For now, we’ll tuck the bottles away in the wine fridge…
